The Show:
After a four week vacation from tour dates, BA, Mickey
and Keith get together again in eastern Europe for a
one-off show which is being aired on TV in Poland.
Although the concert is promoted as "Sopot
Festival" (typically a festival gig is an outdoor
event) the concert venue seems to be an indoor hall of
some sort that holds around 8000 fans. The Songs:
Pretty standard set, although seeing that this is a full
recording of a summer 2000 show with one exception: She's
Only Happy When She's Dancing' is performed and
caught on video for the first time with the trio. Other
than that, the only slight variation is that When
You're Gone is performed twice, although the
first time not in full. The singer Bryan picked first to
accompany him was lost. So, he stopped the song mid-way
and picked someone else. I guess for all the tour dates
he plays, it's bound to happen he picks a real dud once
in a while from the audience. It is humourous to see him
realize his first choice is hopeless.
The Recording:
Direct from the TV broadcast which aired throughout
Poland. This DVD was created from an .avi file sent to me
on CD. The quality is noticeably better than the video
version that circulated shortly after the concert aired
on TV.
