The Show:
BA makes a headlining appearnce on the main stage with the Canadian Parliament buildings in the distance during the nine day Ottawa Bluesfest in July of 2004 just three weeks prior to unleashing the new Room Service material into the live show. A sold out crowd of 23,500 fans pack the venue for the first of eight concerts in eastern Canada. "In Command" read the headline the next morning in the Ottawa Sun.

This was BA's first concert in Ottawa in over four years, however he played in neighbouring Hull, Quebec in December of 2002 when he was promoting the french release of the Spirit soundtrack.

He tells the crowd that Ottawa is where he feels it all started for him as he lived here when he had his first guitar before his Mom and brother packed their bags for Vancouver. Ironically, BA's Mom is in attendance for this show.

BA is in very good spirits tonight and gets chatty w/ the crowd at certain points in the show about the Bluesfest and Ottawa in general. This is clearly a "no pressure" gig and as usual, he gets a nice warm reception whenever he returns to Canada.

The Songs:
Pretty standard set for the Summer of '04 as this was the tail end of the tour dates where they weren't really promoting anything noteworthy and the band was just playing for the hell of it. This is one of the last shows you'll see without any Room Service material included in the set.

Highlights of this 20 song set include the somewhat-rarely performed House Arrest and the acoustic ending duo of Straight From the Heart and a rarely captured on DVD Depend on Me.

The Recording:
Filimed from the floor about 20-30 rows back from the stage with a handheld camcorder. Although tops of heads are visible, they rarely get in the way of the action on stage. The footage is somewhat grainy for a 2004 video which means is was filmed with an older model camcorder. It's a decent video production, but given the technology available in 2004, this one is a disspointment in terms of production.

There are tracks split into three minute intervals.
