The Show:
This is from one of the two concerts in Johanessburg, South Africa during the early part of the 1999 On A Day Like Today tour. The trio is still pretty much in the groove of the new band format and the songs sound great.

This video was made for TV as it features only 21 songs back to back to back.... The conversations between BA and the audience are edited out as are some songs that I'm sure were performed, but not used for the TV special.

This is the second time the band has made their way to South Africa, but the audience is pretty familiar with the songs - espeicially the old ones.

The Songs:
As was the case during the first set of trio shows in the spring of '99, Summer of '69 opens the show to get everyone up and ready. Rock Steady is performed for one of the final times of the '99 tour, but 18 Til I Die is now being performed for one of the first times by the trio. I Fought the Law makes a rare appearance in the encores. The acoustic duo of Everything I Do... and Please Forgive Me close the show.

Songs that were most likely performed, but not televised: Cuts Like A Knife, I'm Ready and Run to You.

The Recording:
This is professionally shot for TV. My copy has been passed down a few times so it is not 100% as you would have seen if you saw the original program. However, the camera angles give a variety of looks at the band and especially some nice shots of Mickey Curry who is rarel visible in most audience-filmed video recordings.

Quality not as good as the Nurnberg '99 video, but there this show is twice as long and many more songs to see and hear.
